Makenna + Lutz

Makenna and Lutz’s beach session at the Ko‘Olina Lagoons in Oahu was everything I love about shooting in Hawaii—serene, sun-soaked, and full of playful energy. These two traveled all the way from Canada for a Hawaiian adventure, and I was lucky enough to capture a little piece of their journey together.

The Ko‘Olina Lagoons are such a dreamy backdrop—calm crystal blue waters, soft sand, and the kind of peaceful energy that instantly slows you down. It was the perfect setting for this laid-back session. Makenna and Lutz were all smiles, radiating such warmth and creating such an easygoing environment. They were up for anything, from splashing in the water to chasing each other along the shoreline, and their laughter was truly contagious.

What made this shoot so memorable was how much fun we had just soaking up the sun and being present in the moment. It wasn’t about posing or perfection—it was about connection, playfulness, and capturing the joy of being in paradise together.

Makenna and Lutz are the sweetest couple, and their chemistry made this session feel so effortless. The way they looked at each other, the way they moved—it all just worked, naturally and beautifully.
